Scope:
The purpose of this workshop is to give medical students in the preclinical years the opportunity to familiarize themselves with surgical instruments, to learn correctly how to make a surgical node, elementary surgical procedures (incisions, sutures), knowledge of wound management, all in a professional manner.
Methodology:
The theoretical courses are structured in a form with lots of illustrated presentations. Each participant has its own work table and benefits of surgical instruments and training materials made available by the organizers. Surgical techniques are performed at the central desk by the instructors and projected at the same time, accompanied by their explanations. Participants will then reproduce each maneuver under the guidance of assistant instructors, insisting until they know how to do all maneuvers. At the end of the practical course, participants will take part in a recap which also provides feedback for the effectiveness of teaching methods. An important score will also be made exclusively for the organisers, in order to test the effectiveness of the course, which is purely informative and which is not listed on the participation certificate.
